Microneedling

Microneedling is a gentle way to rejuvenate your skin by stimulating collagen production for a healthier complexion.

It is a very safe, effective and minimally invasive way to improve the skin texture and achieve a dewy looking skin. Designed to stimulate your skin’s natural ability to produce new collagen formation, microneedling is used to improve the appearance of acne scars, stretch marks, enlarged pores, hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, and create a more youthful skin tone.

This treatment can be combined with other cosmetic procedures to provide better results. In particular, it is a very safe technique for dark skin types, where risk of post-inflammatory pigmentation is very high with other techniques that may damage the epidermis.

Microneedling involves superficial and controlled puncturing of the skin using a sterile device with small needles which is pushed or rolled over your skin to create controlled punctures, which force your skin into repair mode. The micro-injuries created stimulate the body’s natural wound healing processes, resulting in cell turnover and growth of collagen and elastin production, therefore reversing as well as preventing signs of ageing.

All skin types can benefit from this treatment with minimum downtime any time of the year. It can result in just a few hours of pinkness in the skin, mild swelling and erythema (red patches). A minimum of four weeks is recommended between treatments as it takes that long for new natural collagen to form. A course of 3 treatments is recommended.
