What concerns can QuantumRF treat?
Quantum RF addresses skin laxity, uneven texture, loss of firmness, and general signs of ageing.
It can improve early jowling, enhance jawline definition, and smooth crepey or lax skin on the neck.
Is QuantumRF painful?
Quantum RF is generally well tolerated. The procedure is performed under local anaesthetic, which numbs the area so you should not feel pain during the treatment itself. You will also be given medication to help keep you calm and still during the procedure.
After the procedure, it is normal to experience some pain and discomfort, swelling and bruising, or tenderness for a few days. This is typically managed with over-the-counter pain relief and resolves as the area heals.
Your doctor will discuss what to expect during and after the treatment so you feel fully prepared and comfortable throughout your treatment journey.
Who is suitable for QuantumRF treatment?
Quantum RF is suitable for patients who are beginning to notice signs of lower-face or neck ageing but are not yet ready for surgical procedures.
Ideal candidates typically include those who:

Who is not suitable for the treatment?
You may not be suitable for treatment if any of the following apply:
– Pregnancy or breastfeeding
– Active skin conditions in the treatment area. This includes skin infections, open wounds, abscesses, severe eczema, psoriasis, or dermatitis.
– Implanted medical devices such as pacemakers or other active electronic implants that may be affected by radiofrequency energy.
– Recent cosmetic procedures
Treatment should be avoided in areas that have recently undergone chemical peels, laser treatments, or surgical procedures until the skin has fully healed.
What is the aftercare?
Quantum RF is a non-surgical procedure, so downtime is significantly shorter than surgical alternatives, but some recovery time is still expected.
Downtime
Swelling and bruising may last up to 2 weeks.
Tenderness or tightness in the treated area or around the incision site can occur as tissues heal.
Many patients return to normal daily activities within several days, depending on the extent of the treatment and individual healing.
Final results develop gradually as collagen builds, with improvement continuing for 3–6 months.
Aftercare
Wear a compression garment for 24 hours a day for the first 3 days, then as much as possible for the following 14 days.
Avoid strenuous exercise for at least a week.
Keep the area clean and avoid touching or applying makeup until any entry points have closed.
Avoid saunas, steam rooms, and heat treatments for 1–2 weeks.
Sleep elevated during the first few nights to help reduce swelling.
Use gentle skincare and avoid active ingredients (e.g., retinol, acids) until the skin has fully recovered.
Follow all follow-up appointments to ensure optimal healing and results.
